andré borrelli is a young luxemburgish artist, carpenter and craftsman. Born and raised in the wooded areas of the grand-duchy, andré draws most of his inspiration from the natural surroundings he grew up in. By using wood as the basic material for his works, while frequently combining it with different metals, glass, and other materials, he creates in his works a reflection of the evolving world we see around us
– the combination of the natural and the man-made .
he uses his creative and technical skills to design works of a modern and simplistic style. by working with the properties and textures of the materials he uses, andré aims is to create clear and distinctive shapes. his striking sculptures are fashioned through a combination of prominent lines in contrast with the subtle textures of the wood that always remains at the centre of his pieces.
